New 84 LED per meter version of Bifröst Pro now available

Friday Nov 23
Sowilo DS has just added a new version of Bifröst Pro to our lineup, in an 84 LED per meter configuration. The Bifröst-147 Pro uses as many LEDs as we could manage on the PCB for a line of light look under a certain diffusers and aluminum channels and is a very high power/high light output strip. We saw the need for something with some of the specifications relaxed for situations where Bifröst acts as accent lighting rather than task lighting, so we developed the Bifröst-84 Pro as an alternative.

While developing the new strip, we've also taken the time to revisit some of the design p ...

Our Bifröst 5 channel LED strip has been updated!

Thursday May 10
Sowilo DS has been hard at work designing and planning new products since the initial pilot release of Bifröst last November, and we've decided to further improve on Bifröst by offering a new versions to suit multiple needs! The original Bifröst had 126 LEDs per meter, using 2835 size LED packages for the white lights, and 5050 for RGB. With the new design, we've upgraded to using 5730 LEDs for the whites, increased the copper weight for better heat dissipation and less voltage drop, and managed to increase the number of LEDs to 147 per meter. This means that there is now a more even light distribution, high brightness up to 2000 lumens per meter AND improved efficiency by about 20%. it still has the great CRI of 95+ for the white LEDs of 2200k and 6500k of the version from the pilot. How To Use Bifröst with Amplifiers and the LS+

Monday Nov 27
Ls amplifier setup
In order to get the maximum benefit from Bifröst in a Hue LS+ configuration, amplifiers are needed. They allow the 24W power limitation when connected directly to the LS+ controller to be lifted and the full brightness of Bifröst is unleashed! The posted image is a wiring diagram of this setup.

It may look a little intimidating at first, but the setup is essentially hooking up the output of the LS+ controller to the input of the amplifier, then connecting Bifröst to the output amplifier. Both the LS+ controller and amplifier can be powered off of the same 24 V ...
